Sensory Failure: Blind & Deaf Pet Care

For pets with failing senses, the 'Forensic Blueprint' must include the layout of their current home so the guardian can replicate a 'safe path' in the new environment using scent markers or consistent rug placements. Sensory loss is common in senior pets.

Touch becomes a primary mode of communication for deaf pets. Documenting the 'Touch Signals' you use—such as a double-tap on the shoulder—ensures the pet doesn't feel lost or disconnected in their new home. This forensic continuity reduces the isolation often felt by sensory-impaired animals during rehoming.
